Habitat for Humanity of Evansville

Habitat for Humanity of Evansville is apart of a global, nonprofit housing organization operated on Christian principles and is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide by constructing, rehabilitating, and preserving homes. We are advocates for fair and just housing policies, and providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions.

Habitat for Humanity of Evansville builds houses in partnership with people in need and then sells the houses to homeowner partners. Homeowners are selected based on their need for housing, ability to repay a zero-percent APR mortgage, and willingness to partner with Habitat. Because of Habitat’s no-profit loans, the homes are built on volunteer labor, and mortgage payments are affordable for low-income partners.
