What to Bring
Since all supplies and equipment will need to be brought by volunteers, please come prepared with as much of the following as you're able:
Personal Gear
- Work gloves (sturdy ones — weed pulling and scrubbing can be rough on your hands)
- Closed-toe shoes or work boots — no sandals or flip flops
- Old clothes you don't mind getting dirty
- Sun protection — hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen
- A full water bottle (bring more than you think you'll need)
Tools & Supplies
- Hand trowels or small shovels for planting
- Garden hoes or weeders
- Buckets or bins for collecting weeds and debris
- Trash bags (heavy-duty, contractor bags are ideal)
- Scrub brushes (stiff-bristled work best)
- Graffiti remover or heavy-duty degreaser spray
- Rags or old towels for scrubbing surfaces
- Tarps or garden waste bags for hauling pulled weeds
